Third Time's the Charm French Toast

Third Time's the Charm is the name of my upcoming book, a story that continues where Second Chances left off. 

Jon Cavanagh, a former deputy sheriff working for Alec Harmon, has joined SLED, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. As a SLED agent, Jon's new job is to work in tandem with other law enforcement agencies, in this case, his old boss Alec Harmon. 

Melissa Cavanagh has been separated from her husband and children for more than a year. And time has come for her to try to pick up the pieces of the life she left behind. In order to do that though, she's going to have to convince her estranged husband that she needs him back and that she never stopped loving him. She hopes that her husband can put their past behind them and work together to discover just who is out to get her.

Third Time's the Charm French Toast

8 slices of whole wheat bread

butter, for melting

5 large eggs

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

In a glass pie plate or any shallow dish, whisk eggs with cinnamon and vanilla. Melt butter in non-stick skillet or spray regular frying pan with non-stick cooking spray and add butter for flavor.

Using a fork, dredge bread slices on both sides one at a time in egg mixture.

Add to hot pan.

Cook until lightly browned on both sides.

Serve French toast hot with maple syrup or powdered sugar.
