First Forever Protein Bars


Coming soon...First Forever, the prequel to Second Chances, is the story of Blythe Alexander, who together with her beloved friend, Alice, reminisce over the ghosts of her past--in particular, Alec Harmon, the one who got away. 
Alec was loyal, kind, strong, and sexy--almost too good to be true, like these protein bars. A big, strong Marine like Alec needs his protein bars. But while these may look too good to be good for you, they're not. Just like Alec, they're absolutely perfect!

First Forever Protein Bars

2 cups vanilla, stevia sweetened whey protein (I use Now Whey Protein Isolate)
1 cup natural peanut butter
1 tbsp organic honey (optional because the protein is sweet)
1/2 cup very hot water
1 cup old fashioned oats
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Stir together protein and peanut butter. Pour hot water over mixture, then add oats. Stir well. You'll get a decent forearm workout here. Add chocolate chips.
Press mixture into a 9x13 cake pan or casserole dish lined with plastic wrap. Cut a sheet of parchment paper, lay over the top of the mixture, and press into the pan using the palm of your hand.
Cut into 16 equal bars.
Wrap individual bars in plastic wrap.
I store mine in the refrigerator.
They are so good, they never last long!
