Many Thanks to Goodreads Giveaway Winners

I've read that giving away only ten books in a Goodreads giveaway may result in no reviews or ratings, especially if it's romance, since romance readers are the least likely to review books, myself included. To my delight and great relief, that was not the case with my first book Second Chances when the revised edition was made available in one of Goodreads book giveaways.
I want to thank my readers for taking time out of their lives to write a review for my book.
It's a thrill for a new author like myself to know that people are reacting to what I've written, even if they don't love it. As a writer, I don't expect that everyone who reads what I've written to fall in love. As a reader, I don't. Sometimes though, there comes along a book that I can't stop thinking about long after I've read it. Maybe it didn't thrill me, make me cry, or keep me awake at night, but it spoke to me in some way. That is what, as a writer, I am constantly striving to create, works that speak to readers.
Thanks again to the giveaway winners for letting others know about my book. It means more than you'll ever know (unless you're an author too! :)
